Donald A. Hempson
Senior Advisor
Mr. Hempson has over 30 years of international executive and general management experience in a variety of manufacturing, retail, aerospace, defense, and distribution businesses/industries. Most recently he completed two assignments as the Chief Operating Officer for private equity owned companies, QualservS Corp, a $200 million manufacturer and distributor of equipment, supplies and services to the restaurant industry, which was funded by The Riverside Company, and Submitorder, Inc. a $320 million venture with equity provided by Silver Lake Partners, built to provide comprehensive information technology, distribution, and customer response services for market leading retailers and manufacturers. Previously, he was CEO of a $710MM global marketing and distribution business, Defense Reutilization and Marketing Services. Mr. Hempson departed the Navy in 1996, as a “fast track”, highly decorated Captain in an Admiral’s job. During his tenure with the Navy he held various senior level positions including CFO of the United States Submarine Force managing an $11 billion budget.
Mr. Hempson holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BIE degree from Georgia Tech. He has also completed the Senior Executive Program at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and attended the Brookings Institution/European Institute of Public Administration.
